If you are an old-school UNIX guru, and you are looking for a simple self-hosted alternative to the official mastodon software (aptly named certainly due to its size), look no further than snac2 - small daemon, written in C, just like in the old days, a few config files, nice CLI interface and an OpenBSD/FreeBSD quality label.
